Jim and I met four years ago over drinks at Cantina, the first year I moved to Philadelphia from Hawaii. He proposed in our home, and we were hitched 9 months later! The wedding was everything I wanted it to be. I never had a “dream wedding” as a little girl, so I had to figure out what was important and not pretty quickly. I cared about keeping sane (didn’t quite happen), LOTS of dancing, and using my friends and friends of friends as vendors. Philly is filled with such talent, and many elements (the photobooth, the flowers, the DJ, the invites and programs, my hair and makeup) all came from a 6 block radius of the venue and my workplace! We couldn’t have been happier with how it all shook out.
